Chestnut Chocolate Vanilla Tarts Recipe

Ingredients1 square (1 ounce) plain chocolate
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup canned sweetened chestnut cream
1/2 package (about 16 cup) instant vanilla pudding
Heavy cream (double)
6 baked, shallow tart shells, about 4 1/2 inches in diameter
Whipped cream

Directions

Melt chocolate in top part of double boiler over hot water.

Combine thoroughly with butter and allow to cool.
Stir in vanilla and blend with sweetened chestnut cream until very smooth and Chill.

Beat vanilla pudding and 1 cup less 1 tablespoon heavy cream until thoroughly blended and fluffy, scraping the bottom of the bowl frequently and chill again.

Fill one half of each tart with Chestnut-Chocolate Filling and the other with Vanilla Filling.

Garnish with piped swirls of whipped cream.
